I am not from here-
My hair smells of the wind and is full of constellations.
and I move about this world with a healthy disbelief.
and approach my days and work with vaporous consequence.
a touch that is translucent and can violate stone.
I am beautiful beyond compare.
I have always walked this Earth softly-
Talked straight
& carried a huge stick.
I am Native.
I am a Woman.
I am a Mother,
a Grandmother,
a Sister
& a friend.
I have been blessed beyond imagination.
and leave this world with love in Many Hearts.

the night so long
and moon so dark.
to sit here upon
the faithful spark.
the seed now sprung.
there is no wrong.
and in silence now
the Moon grows
dark.
to turn so red
behind cloud so grey.
to dream what my ancestors may.
5oo years ago today.
they too sat weary boned
as the fires warmed their homes.
they looked to the sky with glee
and faithful pondering.
they dreamt of Coyote.
his eyes.
blood red.
shot across the sky.
like meteors.
and the Moon
turns red.
behind grey cloud.
now in the thinning Veils.
The Final Shroud.
